Beginning treatment at Faa Addiction Services is simple and supportive. Here’s what to expect:

  1. Reach Out
Call us or submit a contact form to schedule your initial evaluation. Our friendly staff will help answer your questions and find a time that works for you.

  2. Complete an Evaluation
Your first appointment is typically a one-hour evaluation with a Licensed Addiction Counselor. We’ll learn more about your history, needs, and goals. At the end of your session, we’ll provide a treatment recommendation that fits your individual path.

  3. Begin Your Recovery Journey
Based on your evaluation, you’ll be matched with the appropriate level of care. From there, we’ll work with you to create a customized treatment plan and set a start date. You’ll be supported every step of the way.

Our clinicians use a variety of evidence-based and holistic approaches to support your recovery. Our goal is to meet you where you are and help you build the tools needed for lasting change. Treatment plans are personalized and may include the following approaches:

  • Mindfulness-Based Practices – Increase awareness, reduce stress, and stay present in your recovery journey.

  • Relapse Prevention – Identify triggers, build coping skills, and develop strategies to maintain sobriety.

  • Life Skills Development – Strengthen skills for daily living, including communication, time management, and emotional regulation.

  • 12-Step Facilitation – Engage with the spiritual and community-based principles of the 12-step model, tailored to your comfort level.

  • Trauma-Informed Care – Recognize and respond to the impact of trauma with sensitivity, safety, and empowerment.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – Change unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors that contribute to substance use.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – Develop emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness.

  • Person-Centered Therapy – Build a trusting therapeutic relationship that honors your values, autonomy, and lived experience.

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) – Strengthen your motivation and commitment to change through collaborative, nonjudgmental conversations.

We believe that recovery is not one-size-fits-all. By integrating these approaches, we provide a supportive and adaptable path forward—one that fits your life, your pace, and your goals.
